FMP - Sketchbook Pages 13-14 (Creature Comparisons)

These pages show some comparisons between different mythical creatures within media. I felt that it would be useful to look at the different ways others have represented certain creatures in order to get a better grasp of them myself. The reason I picked these particular creatures was because I knew what they were beforehand and/or knew that they were represented in both of the pieces of media I chose to compare.

Sadly, my inspiration with these creatures didn't last very long. Just as I got to designing my mythical creature design, I looked back at these and I felt a little underwhelmed. Because of this, I decided at the last minute to look at one more creature that I could get more inspired by. I chose the Phoenix for this.
