When tasked with designing a logo through doodling, I got a sketchbook and my bag of markers straight away. I rummaged around in my marker bag, picked out a few colours I liked and started doodling. I took a picture of the page where I finally got somewhere. You can see the development of my final logo on the way down the page.

While my final logo did look slightly different, this was still a brilliant start. With my design next to me, I opened up photoshop. I used the symmetry tool to keep my design looking professional while I worked. I played around with the colours until I got that perfect balance between the two. The image below is my final design.

A while after I designed this logo, I added a coloured background to it in order to turn it into a nice looking badge. Since my campaign is about raising awareness for hidden disabilities, I tried to keep that in mind while choosing the shapes and colours. The yellow represents a sunflower- well known imagery associated with hidden disabilities, most often seen on lanyards. The blue part represents an iceberg- the yellow is the visible tip of the iceberg, whereas the blue is the hidden part that is submerged and invisible. I felt it was a nice comparison to draw. I am very happy with my overall result.

So many of us have things hidden underneath - Icebergs work as a reference. Love the colour combination.
