As I will be animating my game menu, I don't want it to be silent - it needs some music and sound effects to truly bring it to life and make it feel complete.
Initially, a song from a game that I like came to mind. I briefly considered using the instrumental version of 'God Shattering Star' from the game Fire Emblem: Three Houses, but seeing as the song is so dramatic and was used as a final battle theme in the original game, it would be more suited to making a game trailer, so I had to rule it out.
I looked on a website I have used before for music, called Uppbeat, and I chose the perfect song to use. It is 'Love and Sorrow', by AK. It is gentle and repetitive, making it a great background track for a game menu.
It can be found at:

I used a website called Freesound to find myself the right sound effects for the menu's selections. In the animating stage, to make it more interesting and believable, I am intending to make the menu options appear as though they are being hovered over and are being selected by the player. To make it feel more professional and finished, adding quiet sounds whenever the 'player' hovers over a new choice or selects something is a good idea.
The sounds I chose can be found at:

I'll be interested to hear the sound track you have chosen. You always choose good stuff😀
