Task 3 - Film

This was absolutely the hardest of all of the tasks I did. I know that I could have left this task at 30 seconds of footage with no editing whatsoever, just focusing on my dog during our daily walk, but I wanted to do something a little more interesting and challenging. Well I certainly got challenging.

I hadn't realised just how much work I was making for myself when I set out to rotoscope on top of my footage. I really love the Pokémon franchise, so I used that as my inspiration and added animated Pokémon into my video, using my dog as reference for more natural movement. I animated at 24 frames per second- I totalled 751 frames. I logged how long it took out of curiosity, and it took me 67 hours to fully complete this single task.

This is the version of the video without any animation or extra sound effects. I couldn't bring myself to put forward something like this on its own, it hardly took any time at all to make.
